What Shows Up

Cockatoos, lyrebirds, fairy wrens, echidnas, turtles, goannas—whoever's here when I sit still long enough. Not perfect shots. Autofocus chasing trees instead of birds. Wrong lens for the moment. But honest: this is what wildlife photography looks like when you're learning, when the animals don't perform, when you take what the bush offers.
